Atelier by AIncient Labs is an AI-first, chat-driven site builder built on Drupal. You build and brand your site by talking to an agent in a console, watch every change render live, and publish only what you approve.
The Ember & Oak Coffee Roasters homepage built with Atelier
It is a full CMS underneath — Drupal core, your content as real nodes, config as code — with a modern chat console layered on top. You don’t fill in admin forms. You describe what you want, and the agent assembles it from a curated component library on your brand.

AI proposes, you approve

Most agentic tools race to act on their own: run with broad permissions, change live configuration, mutate the running system, and ask forgiveness later. Atelier is the deliberate opposite.
The agent never changes your live site on its own. It works on an unsaved draft and shows you a live preview. Your site changes only when you press Publish.
This is an architectural stance, not a setting you can switch off:
  • No autonomous writes. The agent proposes brand directions and page layouts as drafts. Persisting them is always a human action.
  • Everything is previewed first. You see the real result, rendered in your brand, before anything is saved.
  • A person is always in the loop. Actions that change your site pause for your explicit approval — nothing ships while you’re looking away.
The result is the speed of an agent with the control of a human editor. AI does the assembling; you stay the publisher.
